The landing page makes four promises. This is all of them in full — including the parts that are boring, the parts that are qualified, and every switch that turns something off.
Most privacy policies are written to be survivable in a dispute. This one is written to be checkable, because almost everything in it is a claim about code that runs in your own browser where you can watch it.
The short version
Your birth date, your birth time and your birth coordinates never leave the device you typed them into. The chart, the periods and the sky are all computed in your browser. There is no account required, nothing is sold, and there is no advertising anywhere in the product.
Two things do leave, and both are covered below: an anonymous record of which sky a chart resolved to, which is on by default and has a switch — and Google Analytics, which stops the moment you turn it off. Where it starts depends on where you are: in the EEA and the UK you are asked first and nothing loads until you answer; everywhere else it is on unless you turn it off.
What is computed here, and what "here" means
The ephemeris — the positions of the Sun, the Moon, the five visible planets and the two lunar nodes — is a piece of arithmetic that ships with the page. So is the rule set that reads the resulting chart. Nothing about your chart is sent anywhere to be worked out and then sent back.
That is why this app works with the network switched off after the first load, and it is the reason the whole thing can be free: the expensive part of astrology software is usually the server, and there isn't one in the path.
What that covers: the natal chart, the divisional charts, the Vimshottari periods, the transits, the Sade Sati window, compatibility, and the live sky.
What it does not cover: signing in, if you choose to. That is an email address and a six-digit code, and it exists so a chart can follow you to another device. It is optional and the whole app works without it.
The one thing that is counted, and how to stop it
When a chart is cast, the app records the derived sky — the Moon's nakshatra, the rising sign, and the coverage state of the reading. It does not record the birth date, the birth time, the coordinates or the place name. Those four fields were removed from the payload on 2026-08-10 and the endpoint that used to accept them can no longer write them.
The reason this exists is the method. This engine's claims are tested against real chart-years, and knowing the distribution of skies the app is actually asked about is how we find out where the coverage is thin. We would rather say that plainly than bury it.
The reason it is safe: without the date, a nakshatra and a rising sign describe a few hours of sky that come round again roughly every twenty-seven days. It is not a person.
To turn it off: open the You tab and switch off Record the charts I cast. Nothing at all is sent after that.
Google Analytics
Google Analytics 4 is present on this site, and whether it starts on depends on where you are reading from. We are telling you that here, in the first sentence of the section, rather than leaving you to find it.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, nothing is loaded until you answer. A card comes up from the bottom of the screen the first time you visit — after the page has drawn, never over it — with two buttons the same size, and Google is not contacted at all until you tap one of them. If you say no, no script is ever requested. Your answer is remembered and you will not be asked again.
Everywhere else it is on unless you turn it off, which is the switch described below.
We work out which of those two you are from the country your connection arrives with, at the edge, on our side. It is never guessed in your browser from your language or your clock, because that guess is wrong for anyone travelling and wrong in the direction that would matter. If we cannot tell where a request came from, we do the cautious thing: nothing loads and you are not shown a card either.
While it is on, Google receives the ordinary things any analytics tool sees: which page you are on, roughly which city you are in, where you arrived from, and what browser you are using. It sets a cookie that can recognise this browser on other sites that also use Google Analytics. That cookie is the real cost of it, and it is the reason there is a switch.
Google still never receives, in any state, on or off: your birth date, your birth time, your coordinates, your place name, your email or your account id. Not in a custom dimension, not hashed, not as a parameter. When a chart is cast, Google is told that a chart was cast and nothing about it. Everything that would identify you is computed on your device and stays there — that is the subject of its own post and it did not change when this did.
Google's advertising side stays off whatever you choose. Ad storage, ad user data and ad personalisation are denied in the configuration, permanently and in every state, so nothing here feeds a cross-device advertising audience. Consent Mode is set to denied before Google's script is requested, and the permission granted a moment later is measurement alone.
To turn it off, or to change the answer you gave the card: the You tab, the settings block. It is the same switch either way — the card writes the same setting your own tap would. Turning it off withdraws consent, expires both of Google's cookies immediately, stops everything for the rest of the visit, and fetches no script at all on any later one. The choice is remembered — off stays off, and you will not be asked again or quietly reset.
No Meta pixel is configured. If one is ever added, this section names it before it ships — that is enforced by the build, not by anybody remembering.
Cookies and storage
The app keeps its state in your browser's own local storage: your charts, your notebook, your chosen theme, and your answers to the two switches above. That is not a cookie and it is not sent with any request. Clearing site data in your browser removes all of it, permanently, including charts you have saved.
The only cookie this site can set is Google's, and only while analytics is on. Turn analytics off and it is expired immediately and never set again.
What we do not do
We do not sell data. We do not share it with data brokers. We do not run advertising. We do not run a recommendation engine over your chart. We do not email you unless you asked us to. We do not use your charts to train anything.
We do not prescribe. A chart in this app describes terrain — it does not hand out instructions, and it will never tell you that something is forbidden.
We do not sell remedies, gemstones, poojas, or fixes of any kind, and we never will. The full argument for that is in No remedies, no gemstones, no fear.
Accuracy, and what a reading is
Beyond Moonlight is an instrument for reading a classical system. It is not a prediction service, it is not advice, and it is not a substitute for medical, legal, financial or psychological help. Where the engine is uncertain it says so; where a rule has not been tested against enough real lives, that reading is marked as thin rather than dressed up.
Nothing here is generated from a language model and nothing is filled in with template text. If a section is empty, it is empty because we do not yet have something we can stand behind.
Money
The chart, the periods, the transits, the notebook and the Journal cost nothing, and they are not a trial. What money will eventually buy is the interpretive layer — the depth this engine was built to produce. Premium access opens by invitation while that layer is being finished.
There is no advertising in any tier, and there never will be, because an advertising business and an honest reading of a difficult chart want opposite things from a reader.
Children
This is not built for children and we do not knowingly collect anything from anyone under 16. Since we do not collect birth details at all, there is very little here to collect.
If you want something removed, and how to delete your account
Signing in is optional, and if you have not signed in there is nothing holding your identity to delete.
From inside the app: open You and choose Delete account, then Delete it all on the sheet that confirms it. It removes your account and every row attached to it — your saved charts, your timeline events, any question you asked and any invitation you sent — and it does not wait on us to action it.
By email: write to [email protected] from the address you signed in with, and we will do the same thing and confirm when it is done.
The cast records described above carry no identity, so they cannot be looked up by person — which is the same property that makes them safe to keep. They hold no birth date, no birth time and no coordinates, so there is no version of them that could be traced back to you in order to be removed.
Changes to this page
This page carries the date it was last true at the top. When something material changes, it changes here first — the build refuses to ship a measurement tag whose disclosure is missing, which is the only version of this promise that cannot quietly rot.
